For every winter sports enthusiast, the ideal terrain is available in the Skicircus and the largest ski area in Austria , whether cool snowboarder, small piste flea, tricky freerider or sporty carver. From gentle slopes to wide carving slopes to the black World Cup downhill run from top-shaped fun parks and untouched variant runs to mogul slopes. Skiing Saalbach will fill every generation.

Suggestion skiing Hochfilzen (tried it yourself)

With the ski bus, approx. 300 m away from the Hochfilzen train station , it is approx. 9.45 to Leogang to the valley station of the Asitz cable cars. With the gondola to the mountain station and then a short stop at the highest brewery in Europe, the AsitzBräu. Drive on with the most modern chairlifts to Saalbach , there you drive the whole day on the sunny slopes, Schönleiten, Kohlmais, Bernkogel list etc. to Fieberbrunn. The new TIROL S Bahn , the connection between Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn, takes you to beautiful slopes and slopes. After several superbly groomed slopes, we head down to Fieberbrunn. Now it's time to relax and have fun in the Apres ski huts , such as the Enzianhütte and the well-known S4, around 5.20 pm the last ski bus goes to Hochfilzen and a wonderful day of skiing is coming to an end.

We run our skis from the Katharina guest house to the village square approx. 500 m and take the ski bus to Fieberbrunn to the ski area. We take the Doischbergbahn up, continue with the lifts, Lärchfilzen, Rechmoos and the new TIROL S Bahn to the Reiterkogel and we are in the middle of the Hinterglemm ski area. Then it goes on with the chair lifts Hassenauer, Hochalm and Spieleck. Our ski tour then continues into the valley. Entry into the Zwölferkogel-Nordbahn and up to the summit. We drive down to the valley on the former World Cup route . Then the tour continues with the Schattberg Westgipfelbahn at 2,088 m. From there it goes down into the valley on snow, we cross the village of Hinterglemm and take a little break. Then take the Reiterkogelbahn and the Sunliner back to the southern slopes of Hinterglemm. Once at the top we drive back to the valley to Fieberbrunn, as is already known. To round off, there is a refreshing beer and Tyrolean schnapps and music to relax!
It is only approx. 6 km by car to Fieberbrunn or Leogang from our Katharina guest house in Hochfilzen .

Alpine skiing in Leogang-Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Fieberbrunn
We would like to tell you our experiences in one of the largest and most popular skiing areas in Austria .
In the morning we get off into the ski bus (travel times are in the guesthouse) no matter which way to Leogang or to Fieberbrunn - the journey time is about 5 minutes each to the respective ski resort / gondola. We start today in Leogang and take the gondola to Asitzbergstation . At the top we enjoy a beer in the highest Brauhaus Asitz . From there we head for Saalbach and its southern slopes. Over the Schönleiten lifts to the cozy huts Bergeralm and Thurneralm , where you can enjoy a lunch meal. A bit of alpine hut party can support this fun. We continue straight to the center of Saalbach, a few meters we reach the Bernkogelbahn and even further to the Reiterkogel. The many sunny slopes towards Hinterglemm invite you to a short hut stay. We then head towards F ? Berbrunn to the next valley, where we take the new link lift TIROLS in the direction of Reckmoosgipfel. On top we have a wonderful view of the Tyrolean mountains, Loferer Steinberge, Leoganger Setinberge, Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser . Now we have 2 x lifts uphill, then we are finally at the high point to the valley run to Feberbrunn. There is an estimated 75 km ski slope behind us and a very sociable, comradely skier team finishes this great skiing day in the Apres-ski hut S4 Alm or the Enzian hut with life music. At about 17.30, we return to our guesthouse Katharina with the last ski bus to Hochfilzen. Today there is only a cozy dinner in the Wiesenseehof at the Seppi and the day sounds like a hazelnut schnapps.
